This tower is part of the multi-phase community known as Pinnacle One Yonge. When completely finished, the project will house three residential towers, a hotel, retail and restaurant space, a state-of-the-art community centre and a pedestrian promenade weaving through the community.
It takes advantage of Toronto’s booming waterfront area, a long underutilized stretch that’s undergoing a significant amount of mixed-use development. We’ve seen the area turn from a sleepy industrial pocket to a promising downtown neighbourhood with luxury high-rises, new teaching facilities for both George Brown College and OCAD University, and a series of retail and restaurant promenades. One development is estimated to create space for up to 2,000 office jobs alone, while another one is dedicated to housing office, programming and studio space for the arts and cultural sphere.
Queen’s Quay, which borders the waterfront in this neighbourhood, has recently undergone a transformation and now includes an extended streetcar route, trees and a promenade that runs along the water, popular with joggers, cyclists and dog walkers. It’s a short walk to the ferry terminal for a picturesque day trip to Toronto Island, or to the velvety shores of Sugar Beach, a popular hangout in the warmer months.
These condos will be part of Concord Park Place, which is being developed by one of the most influential developers in Toronto, Concord Adex. They’re renowned for playing one of the most influential roles in shaping Toronto’s skyline by developing the the CityPlace master-planned community, which was pivotal for fleshing out the cityscape from the waterfront.
We expect the same thing to happen with Park Place. This will be a walkable and integrated new neighbourhood with plenty of shops in the ground level of the buildings.
